OUR MISSION: TO CREATE AN UNMATCHED DOWNTOWN EXPERIENCE
Main Street Wadsworth, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is dedicated to the historic preservation and economic revitalization of our downtown. We are seeking individuals to join the Board of Directors in 2026. Prospective board members must:
• Believe in the mission of Main Street Wadsworth, and
• Be passionate about the City of Wadsworth, and
• Be champions of and willing to get involved in the operations of the organization.
Board terms are for three (3) years, running January 1 – December 31 of each year, and may be
renewed one (1) time for an additional three (3) years.
This is a working board. Board members are expected to:
• Attend at least 75% of the monthly board meetings (currently held on the second Tuesday
of each month at 12:00 p.m.)
• Sit on one of four Main Street Wadsworth committees:
– Promotion – plans & implements downtown events, social media, & marketing
– Organization – develops internal operations, volunteer recruitment, fundraising,
and sponsorship
– Economic Vitality – promotes, assists, and enhances existing downtown
businesses and facilitates new business development
– Design – works to beautify the downtown, educates business owners and building
owners about good design, influences downtown development, and provides
design advice
• Attend at least 75% of their respective committee’s meetings
• Volunteer between 4-10 hours per month, including Board and committee meetings
• Fundraise and collect the funds needed to operate the program
