A Message from Our Executive Director
Dear Wadsworth Community: We are in an unprecedented time in our history with the COVID-19 pandemic changing life as we know it on a daily basis. On behalf of our Board of Directors, team chairs, volunteers, stakeholders, and staff, I would like to wish all of you good health and safety during this surreal situation. Our organization is monitoring the status of this crisis very carefully as it impacts our downtown small businesses, organizations, and events. Pursuant to the Ohio Governor’s Order of March 16, and for the health and well-being of downtown Wadsworth’s businesses, organizations, employees, and visitors, Main Street Wadsworth’s April First Friday: “Wadsworth Loves the 80’s” event on April 3 has been canceled. Future events will be evaluated as more information comes available in the weeks ahead. We do what we do because small businesses are the core of a healthy economy. The health and safety of Main Street Wadsworth business owners, employees, customers, and visitors is of utmost importance, which is why we will follow guidance from the City of Wadsworth, Medina County Health Department, and State of Ohio, as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We are asking our incredible Wadsworth community to band together and support our downtown Wadsworth small businesses, safely. Our small businesses need our collective support now more than ever. When this is all over we look forward to the joyful celebration and rallying support that we know our downtown small business community will experience with all of your “feet on the street” once this pandemic has ended, and it will end! We want to express special thanks to our Premier Sponsor, Clampco Products, Inc., for their incredible support and community partnership, as well as the City of Wadsworth, our fantastic safety forces: Wadsworth Police, Fire, and EMS, our tireless community healthcare workers, 97.1 FM Wadsworth Community Radio, WCTV, and all of the businesses, organizations, and individuals who are doing so much good in our community right now for those who need it most. The acts of kindness happening all around us are the shining lights during this challenging time in our history. As we lift each other up, please stay safe and healthy, Wadsworth! We are all in this together. Sincerely, |
