Revitalization Transformation: Downtown Wadsworth “Before” and “After” Grant Projects and Private Renovations
Since 2017, a series of grants made possible by The City of Wadsworth, Medina County, Heritage Ohio, and coordinated by Main Street Wadsworth, as well as private renovations by building owners, have resulted in preservation and rehabilitation improvements to many of downtown Wadsworth’s historic buildings, some dating back to the 1800’s. These grants are just one more way the Main Street Program impacts the revitalization of a historic downtown district, creates jobs (when an empty building is renovated and then occupied by a business), stimulates the economy, and beautifies the heart of the community. Enjoy these “before” and “after” photos, most of them showing examples of downtown projects that have utilized grant dollars for improvements that will have long-lasting positive effects on the downtown’s revitalization, charm, and vibrance.
